SpatiX Galaxy S1 Unmanned Survey Boat

SpatiX Galaxy S1 Unmanned Survey Boat

Overview

The SpatiX Galaxy S1 is a compact unmanned surface vehicle (USV) designed for hydrographic surveying, bathymetric mapping, and underwater terrain investigations. Developed for single-operator deployment, it combines GNSS RTK positioning, a 200 kHz single beam echo sounder, autonomous navigation, and dual pump-jet propulsion in a portable survey platform.

With a total weight of approximately 15 kg including the battery, the Galaxy S1 is suitable for river, lake, reservoir, and nearshore surveying. Its compact hull and integrated measurement system help survey teams collect georeferenced depth data without deploying a manned survey boat.

Key Features

Portable Design for Single-Operator Surveys

Measuring 800 × 400 × 230 mm, the Galaxy S1 is compact enough for convenient transportation and field deployment. Its lightweight composite hull is designed for survey teams working across multiple sites.

Integrated 200 kHz Echo Sounder

The built-in single beam echo sounder supports a depth measurement range of 0.2–120 m, making it suitable for inland water bathymetry, reservoir investigations, and shallow-water surveys.

Dual Pump-Jet Propulsion

Two high-speed ducted thrusters provide maneuverability in rivers and other challenging water environments. The semi-recessed propulsion design helps reduce interference from aquatic vegetation and underwater obstacles.

GNSS RTK Positioning and Heading

An integrated GNSS receiver supports centimeter-level RTK positioning under suitable correction conditions. Dual GNSS antennas and an electronic compass provide heading information for survey navigation.

Automatic Survey Route Navigation

Operators can plan survey areas and navigation routes before starting a mission. The vessel follows planned routes automatically, helping improve coverage and reduce manual steering.

Radar Obstacle Detection and Visual Monitoring

A standard HD camera and millimeter-wave radar with a specified detection range of up to 40 m support remote observation and obstacle awareness during survey operations.

Extended Field Operation

The 24 V, 40 Ah removable lithium battery provides up to 6 hours of operation under economical cruising conditions, reducing the need for frequent battery changes.

Radio and 4G Communication

Built-in radio and 4G communication support positioning data transmission and remote survey operations, subject to local network and environmental conditions.
